La vita
Ad oggi, Tito Amadori è l’unico artista del Borgo Museo di cui non abbiamo traccia, sappiamo solo che è l’autore della scultura presente al Museo all’aperto di Castagno intitolata Pesci. La scultura è stata installata tra il 1976 e gli anni ‘80.

L’opera a Castagno
Pesci è un’opera che porta un po’ di mare sopra i circa 500 metri di altitudine castagnola. Si tratta di un bassorilievo in bronzo composto da alcuni elementi saldati su una lastra rettangolare con cornice; gli elementi disegnati raffigurano un mare dalle cui onde guizza un pesce particolareggiato da incisioni e sovrastato da un sole con lunghi raggi, anch'essi incisi. La composizione ricorda lo schema utilizzato per le carte dei tarocchi, in particolare quello della Luna, che raffigura il corpo celeste su un mare ondulato dove nuota uno scorpione, e anche quello del Sole, che qui viene rappresentato grande, quasi centrale, e (come nel caso delle carte dei Tarocchi di Marsiglia di Philippe Camoin e Alejandro Jodorowsky) con raggi ondulati dove la linea nel mezzo, in questo caso incisa, crea una sensazione di profondità. Chissà che rapporto aveva l’artista con le carte dei tarocchi o con i corpi del cielo e del mare...

Biography

Tito Amadori is the only artist of the Borgo Museo that we have no information about.  All we know is that he created the sculpture “Pesci” in the Castagno open air museum.  Like the other sculptures, it was installed between 1976 and the ‘80s.

“Pesci” (Fish) is a work of art that brings a feeling of the sea right up to the 500m altitude of Castagno.  It is a bronze bas-relief, with elements soldered onto a framed rectangular plaque.  The elements represent the sea, with a fish leaping from the waves under a long rayed sun; both the fish and the sun are engraved as an embellishment.  The composition recalls the design used for tarot cards: in particular the Moon card that represents the celestial body over a scorpion swimming in a wavy sea, and even the Sun card where the sun is large and central with wavy rays engraved along their centre (as in the case of Philippe Camoin and Alejandro Jodorowsky’s Tarot of Marseilles) creating a sensation of depth.  The relationship of the artist with Tarot cards or with celestial bodies and the sea remains a mystery...
